TESTIMONIAL 1
First of all, thank you so much for taking good care of my son Jun Ho
When we decided to enroll Jun Ho in Korean dual language program, we were worried about him since he didn't know any Korean language.
My wife Bianka is a Guatemalan immigrant and she speaks very little Korean, and basically Jun Ho had attended just to English preschool. However, I strongly believe that is really important that Jun Ho learn Korean, along with Spanish.
Based on our concerns, we started asking parents around if they knew any school where they can help us. They told us that Cahuenga Elementary school. They said that this school one of the best Korean program for kids. They were certainly right!
At the beginning, Jun Ho had hard time trying to catch up school homework, especially since it was in Korean. It was not only difficult for him, but also for his mom who barely speaks Korean. In many different occasion he complained of not being able to understand us; specially pronunciation. However, time by time things had changed, and Jun Ho's Korean skills improved way beyond our expectations. Now, he is not only able to read Korean, but also write and speak it. In addition, he is even trying to correct our mistakes.
What seemed to be a challenge at the beginning, it turned to be a great opportunity for Jun Ho.
We really believe it was thanks to the great work done by his teacher. It has lead Jun Ho, and its classmates, to a different academic level. Also, as proud Korean-Guatemalan parents, it has enable us to keep preserving our cultural roots (heritage).
It has been an amazing experience. We have seen our son growing in all senses, and thanks to his school environment. It may seen a year is a short period of time, but its the sufficient time to change a children's future!.
Thank Cahuenga Elementary School, and thank you to their teacher.
Sincerely,
Henry Jeong
TESTIMONIAL 2
As a parent, I would like to mention how much I appreciate Cahuenga Elementary School and Mrs. Burnam, my daughter’s teacher for helping Arielle successfully through her Kindergarten year. I must admit that I underestimated how much a Kindergarten student can learn in a short period of time, but when I saw the difference in my daughter’s speech both in English and Korean as well as her knowledge gained in other topics like science, math and life values, I realized that it was the learning she received from Cahuenga that made all the difference. Arielle still has her challenges and areas of improvement that she needs to work on, but I am confident that she will improve in these areas as well and I am looking forward to seeing those improvements take place over time while she progresses in her grade level and studies and Cahuenga Elementary. I would like to say THANK YOU! to all the staff at Cahuenga and to all the parents who participated in making her first year at Cahuenga a successful learning year!
Sincerely,
Arielle's parent
